ORDO AMORIS CABINET
continued For four years OAC have also been carrying out projects outside Cuba. Numerous exhibitions have taken them to North America, Canada and Eruope. Recently they could be seen at the Barbican Centre in London, at the moment their work is at the ArtPace Foundation in San Antonio, Texas. Our exhibition is the first gallery exhibition by OAC in Europe. The installation in our gallery (4 May – 30 June, 2001) quotes elements from other works (antennae, sketches, objects) and will be extended halfway through the exhibition and finally presented again on 1 June 2001 with a discussion with the artists. Especially for us OAC developed a new installtion based on their perception of Cologne summer street settings. They used 120 of the globally well known white staple chairs sold in german supermarkets under the names of "Kuba" or "Havanna" (alternative model)... << |
